FAQs

Why T.A.P.?

T.A.P. is an organization that allows individuals, who share a common interest in Tactics, Armament, and Preparations, to interact with each other in a way that promotes and furthers the basic concept of self-preservation through training and awareness.

T.A.P. was officially launched in Conroe, Texas in May of 2020. Members are divided into Platoons (time zones) then into Sections (states) and finally into Squads (closest major city). Each member will be assigned an I.D. number based on this information, and will be used by headquarters to input data such as training, shipping orders, anniversary dates, qualifications, etc.

For example, a person from Conroe would be designated:

Platoon                Section                 Squad

    C                      TX                          H

so their designation would be: CTX-H0001 (F) if they are a “founder”.

The first 500 members total will be referred to as a “Founders” and will have an “F” designation identifying them as such at the end of their I.D. number. Founders will be eligible for advanced training opportunities, special discounts on select merchandise, and access to exclusive forums. Once an individual has joined, they will be allowed to assign themselves a personalized “call sign” such as “Ace” or “Joker” which will be tied directly to their I.D. number and can be used both nationally and locally for personalized recognition.

When joining T.A.P., each member will be given instant access to the T.A.P. private forums, Facebook pages, and a monthly newsletter. Unlike other organizations, T.A.P. will strive to not only connect its members through these private channels, but it will also provide more “hands on” sponsored training opportunities so that representatives can interact with the general public both from an informative side but also as a recruitment aide. T.A.P. will strive to provide more training for all members regardless of qualification levels, to host one or two classes for a limited amount of people while charging an expensive price does not help in getting more members trained. One organization likes to say that “You get out of it what you put into it…” well if that is the case then what do you need the organization for?

Unlike other organizations that do not require any qualifications for the myriad of patches that they offer for sale on their website, T.A.P. will not only require proof of proficiency in order to acquire some of these patches, but will also help ensure that the individual receives proper training to further their skills in that field where possible. If you are a medic certified through the state of Texas, send in a copy of your qualifications and not only will you be allowed to purchase a medic patch, shirt, hat, etc., but you will also be provided with a first aid kit to be used at any and all T.A.P. functions. If you should provide medical assistance while on a T.A.P. certified event to any one member or not, any items used from your kit will be replaced free of charge.

From basic shooting proficiency, to self-defense, to survival skills, up through prepping ideas, T.A.P. will take the steps to enlighten, empower, and ensure that its members are never put in a position they can’t handle. Discussion boards on the private forums as well as the Facebook pages will provide members a platform for discussing ideas, questioning other members on their experiences, and providing feedback on member discussions.

For $40.00 you will receive a one year T.A.P. membership which will include a t-shirt, certificate, vehicle decal, (10) recruitment cards which get you discounts on merchandise when others register, membership I.D. card, and a T.A.P. patch. Memberships can be renewed on a yearly basis and members will be contacted as to their anniversary date in advance so there is no lapse in the great opportunities that T.A.P. has to offer.

What are you waiting for? Join today, secure your tomorrow, and when all else fails….double T.A.P.!

Training:

T.A.P. will seek to offer more training for everyone at any level of proficiency. Not every individual has previous military/police background training and therefore T.A.P. will offer courses ranging from basic skills up to and including advanced skills.
